Today in our country, under the leadership of our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the attention given to youth and the opportunities being created for their comprehensive development are continuously expanding. Particularly, the reforms in the field of sports, the construction of modern infrastructure, and the expanded scale of competitions are creating a solid foundation for our youth to demonstrate their talents.
In this sense, the “Five Initiatives Olympiad”, launched on the initiative of our President, is one of the most important projects supporting youth sports. This Olympiad serves as a great school not only for discovering talents but also for turning them into professional athletes who defend the honor of our nation.
Within the framework of this initiative at our university as well, the sports infrastructure is being strengthened, and the quality of training is improving. For instance, our proud alumni like Nigina O’tkamova, Aziza Zokirova, and Jahongir Zokirov are raising our national flag high in international arenas.
In the coming days, Ruslanbek Jiyanov, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports and an “Uzbekiston iftixori” (Pride of Uzbekistan), is preparing to participate in the World Championship as part of the Uzbekistan national football team. Meanwhile, boxing student Gulsevar G’aniyeva is defending the honor of our Homeland at the World Cup being held in India. The fact that our students are worthily defending the honor of our country as part of Uzbekistan’s national teams is a source of pride for all of us.
The latest results from the national stage of the “Five Initiatives Olympiad” taking place in Gulistan have pleased us once again. In the streetball category, the “Ziyokor” girls’ team was deemed worthy of the gold medal, while the boys’ volleyball team secured the bronze medal. Most joyfully, the “Ziyokor” girls’ team was recognized by the competition organizers and referees as the strongest team among 213 higher education institutions.
These victories are the practical result of the coaches’ hard work, the athletes’ perseverance and dedication, and the conditions created at our university for student youth to engage in all types of sports.
Dear students! Each of your victories gives us pride, strength, and confidence for new heights. I sincerely congratulate you on your achieved victories and successes! I believe you will continue to worthily defend the honor of our country and our university in future major competitions and international Olympiads.
The presence of highly qualified masters among the university’s teaching staff is also a reason why our students achieve success in various fields. For instance, coaches like Asian Champion, Asian Games winner, and World Championship medalist Bobousmon Boturov, and Shakhzoda Umarova, coach of the Uzbekistan women’s national boxing team, are making significant contributions to developing the boxing school at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. Their exemplary role for all our students, their mentoring activities and labor are becoming a crucial factor in preparing future champions.
Such qualified masters exist in all fields, and their activities are particularly important in further strengthening our university’s achievements. Taking this opportunity, I express my special gratitude to all the professors and teachers at our university.
