Rector of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University Sh. Sharipov met with students of the Faculty of Medicine. Faculty members and professors also participated in the meeting.
-Doctoring is one of the most honorable professions, which affects human life, is very responsible and difficult, – says university rector Sh. Sharipov. Therefore, medical workers who are selflessly working for the health of the people today deserve all kinds of recognition. When we see a person wearing a white coat, we immediately understand that we are dealing with an employee of a medical institution. Do you know why medical personnel wear white coats and that this special outerwear was not long ago?’
The meeting started with these questions asked by the rector of the university. During the meeting, which continued with the discussion of opinions and proposals, the rector of the university, while giving his necessary recommendations, noted that he himself dreamed of becoming a doctor as a child, but later he became interested in technical sciences.
“The need for medical personnel in the Jizzakh region increased significantly during the pandemic that began in 2020. When referring to the analysis of statistical data, in the 20th century, about 4,000 different diseases were recorded among people, this indicator has increased to 5,000 since the beginning of the 21st century. In order to prevent and treat these diseases, qualified medical personnel are definitely needed, but at the same time, the lack of qualified doctors is one of the main problems. Since the beginning of the 2021 academic year, the Faculty of Medicine at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University has been operating in two directions: Treatment and Pediatrics. Today, about 250 students are studying in these directions.
At the end of the meeting between the rector and the students, the students of the faculty expressed their suggestions and appeals about the existing conditions and their shortcomings, the lack of literature, the limited number of available literature, and the establishment of student exchange with other medical universities.
