The Uzbek Language Day is an expression of love and respect for our mother tongue

A series of spiritual events were held today in the Jizzakh region as part of the established measures for the wide celebration of the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language state language status and October 21 – Uzbek Language Day.

In this regard, flower-laying ceremonies were organized at the monument to Alisher Navoi in Zafarabad district, at the bust of Alisher Navoi in the yard of school No. 16 in Zomin district, as well as at memorial complexes dedicated to prominent representatives of Uzbek literature in city and district centers.

The ceremonial events were attended by the Advisor to the Regional Hokim, B. Mavlyanov, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, F. Akchayev, along with a number of organization leaders, teachers-mentors, students, and pupils.

Those who spoke at the ceremony shared their thoughts on the historical significance of the Uzbek language and its role as a sacred symbol expressing our national identity. They particularly emphasized the rich vocabulary, artistic expression, and the place of our native language in the hearts of the people.

At the end of the event, students read poems dedicated to their native language, and stage performances were presented. We would not be wrong to say that these events were a vivid expression of the love, respect, and national pride for our native language.
