A literary and artistic evening titled “Poetry and Melody” was organized at a high level at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University on the occasion of the 543rd anniversary of the birth of the great statesman, commander, and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
The event was attended by the university administration, professors, teachers, and students. The evening’s program began with a stage performance dedicated to Babur’s life and work.
A stage performance prepared by students of the Faculty of History on the theme “Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s Address to Generations” left a great impression on the audience.
Following the established program, the evening was enriched by the narrator’s commentary. Before each musical performance, examples of Babur’s ghazals were recited, ensuring a harmony of poetry and melody.
Throughout the evening, Babur’s ghazals such as “Yaxshilig'”, “Mushkildur”, “Sharobi”, “Lola”, and “Guljamol” were performed in musical interpretations. The works were skillfully rendered by teachers and students of the Music Education department, as well as vocalists from the Student Maqom Ensemble.
The goal of the evening was to widely promote the legacy of our great ancestor and to strengthen the feelings of patriotism and national pride among students and youth.
